Lightning in the darkness: how your support is helping Ukraine

Many of our Christian friends are dealing with especially difficult challenges, in addition to the ongoing sirens, drone and missile strikes, sleepless nights in shelters/bathtubs, etc.—there are long-lasting power outages to endure, which robs our brethren, not just of electricity, but of water, and heat.

Thanks to our Father’s goodness, and your generosity, we continue to send funds to congregations and individual Christians and families across Ukraine to help meet various urgent needs—including the great need to see Jesus in us and to preach Jesus to those for whom life is particularly fragile.

Through Rescue Ukraine, overseen by the Tuscumbia Church of Christ, in just the last few days, we have been blessed to send funds for firewood, funds to assist a disabled sister in Christ, funds to help with benevolence and evangelism, funds for the safe housing of refugees, funds for a spiritual retreat for young people, funds to support gospel preaching…etc, etc, etc.

I’m posting this now, because it’s our responsibility to keep those with a heart for Ukraine informed…

And to remind you to consider adding, “Ukraine” to your 2026 budget (please speak to your church leaders 🙂).

In the town where 13 were just baptized—in large part because the church there loved their neighbors—gave them food and Bibles and Bible literature that you helped supply—we are sending additional support so that more good can happen.

The needs are so great…and through you, I am confident they will continue to be met… to the glory of God and for the saving of mortal body and eternal soul.
