Good news from Poltava
The Church of Christ sincerely thanks God for the opportunity to serve in this place and glorify Jesus Christ!
We are grateful for your prayers and support, especially in this difficult time. Since 2014, our congregation has been actively serving people — helping displaced families and working with children from orphanages. The ministry among children has borne blessed fruit: today, among us, there are brothers and sisters who were once orphans and are now grown, faithful servants working to the glory of God.
Our relationships with displaced families have also brought blessings. We have seen how hard it is for people who have lost their homes because of the war. Even though it has been difficult for us — with much work and limited strength — the Lord has strengthened us through prayers and the support of brothers and sisters. Thanks to this, we have walked this path and continue to bring God’s love into the world.
Today, the congregation continues its ministry: twice a week we meet with displaced families, share the Word of God, and provide food packages. We also keep working with children from orphanages — it is incredibly joyful to see their smiles and sincere gratitude. They no longer see us as outsiders, but as true friends — and glory to God that we are able to do this!
The youth are actively participating in gatherings and home groups. Summer is ahead — a time of special opportunities to work among young hearts and invite them to the Church.
We ask you to pray for the Church in Poltava — that we may continue to share God’s mercy and love with people. Some come not only for help — they find here a family, warmth, and acceptance. We see their smiles, their tears of gratitude — and we know: God is working in our lives.
May praise and thanks to Jesus Christ resound in every heart and every place!
