Big news about bigger Bibles for Ukraine!
As you know… as we age, most of us lose our ability to read “regular sized words.”
So, we need reading glasses, or bigger words.
I’m thrilled to report that bigger Bibles with bigger words are now officially being printed for 10,000 of our friends across embattled Ukraine.
These Bibles will have some special “first ever features” that will hopefully bring many souls to Jesus.
The attractive cover will be imprinted with the word “Bible” and at the bottom will be the words, “A gift from the church of Christ.”
The readers will hopefully quickly understand that the church from which they received the Bible is the church they will find inside the Bible.
This Bible will feature introductory pages that will help guide the reader to the various Scriptures that teach us how Jesus saves us from our sins, how He adds us to His church, and how His church is truly a unique family of believers, with qualities, and a mission that glorifies its divine Builder and Head.
There will also be information about how to connect with Christians and congregations across Ukraine and how to access addition Bible study options online.
This Bible is an easier to read version, true to the original manuscripts, that has previously not been available in the Ukrainian language. Previous large print Bibles featured archaic language that were a barrier to daily Bible reading and comprehension.
***Now the math, each Bible, which will be printed in Ukraine, with a huge assist from the Ukraine Bible Society, will cost 12 dollars.
10,000 Bibles will cost 117,000 dollars.
We already have donations to cover about half of this total.
Perhaps you could speak with your congregation, the elders, or mission committee, about contributing to this soul-saving, faith-building opportunity.
Or perhaps you are interesting in being personally involved in making this gift available to our Ukrainian neighbors…if so, please visit RescueUkraine.com and hit the donate button.
Or if you prefer, checks can be mailed to our overseeing congregation:

*For about the cost of your lunch today, a Ukrainian can receive a Bible. Awesome!
The blue Bibles in the photo are the ones we printed. They are standard-sized Bibles. The black ones are Ukrainian-language Bibles, shown simply for comparison of their size.
